Frequently asked questions

What families often want to know

What areas of Vermont do you serve?

Our current operations are centered in Washington County, with services considered according to staffing, client needs, and location. Call us to confirm availability in your town.

How do I start services?

Contact our team for an initial conversation. We will learn about your needs, explain current availability, and arrange an assessment when appropriate.

What does a Plan of Care include?

The Plan of Care documents the person’s goals, authorized services, routines, preferences, safety considerations, and coordination needs. It is reviewed regularly and updated when needs change.

What payment options do you accept?

Vital Home Care currently welcomes private-pay clients. Long-term care insurance arrangements and Vermont Medicaid Choices for Care participation are being developed. Contact us for the most current information before making a care decision.

How are caregivers screened and trained?

Caregiver requirements vary by role. Final screening, credential-verification, orientation, supervision, and ongoing-training details will be published here after agency policies are formally confirmed.

What happens in a medical emergency?

Call 911 for any medical emergency. The website contact form is not monitored continuously and should never be used for emergency assistance.

How do I share a concern or compliment?

Call or email our office and ask to speak with a manager. A formal grievance process and downloadable guidance will be added here when finalized.
